McDonald's is the Chinese of American Food

By

There is no doubt that McDonald's is the biggest fast food chain in the world, in terms of popularity combined with size. With over 32,000 stores worldwide, it's only second, to Subway, as far as number of franchises. But with all the popularity and success McDonald's has, it is the only fast food chain that can't do one thing for me...fill me up. Now, I'm not saying that is the context, of an overweight person with a large stomach, who spends a good portion of their time eating. I'm talking about a skinny person, (I'm 150 pounds). I'm sure that I'm not the only normally sized person who can't get full off a number one from their menu.

As many fast food and casual dining restaurants as there are in my town of 60,000, McDonald's always draws me in. I can't help it really, I personally think their fries are second to no other eatery I've ever been to. And the smell of someone else, be it, a coworker, friend, or family member, will give me a sudden craving for nearly anything on the menu. Yet, it doesn't matter what I get I'm hungry soon after eating. It's the same thing with Chinese food, which is widely excepted as "You'll be hungry again in a hour." And while that is true with Chinese food, it's the same way with McDonald's. Every time I go to McDonald's I always have to order more than what I know I could eat in one sitting, because if I don't, I'll be starving within an hour of eating.

I know this problem only comes with McDonald's. Any other place I eat at, my stomach is satisfied until the next meal rolls around. It's pretty widely conceived that McDonald's, and most fast food restaurants, are very unhealthy. And in this nation, many people will choose fast food over cooking, as it's easier, and let's face it, we as Americans are pretty lazy. But the McDonald's corporation knows what they're doing when it comes to making a profit. And with all the people around the world who eat their food, I'm sure I'm not the only one who has a problem of being filled from a McDonald's meal. It's almost as if, they make it with empty calorie and empty carbohydrates, two things needed for energy, so people become hungry faster, and go back to buy more, or like I do, buy more food than they feel they need. While they do need to work in the healthy part of their food, they could work on their menu being actual food. Haha. Other fast food places know how to do it, why can't McDonald's?

McDonald's should stop listening to the Chinese on how to make food.....now I'm hungry from writing this. McDonald's strikes again.

I am with you on this, a double cheesburger for a buck.

I guess that is why I am overweight.
